Taking Chlorthalidone with alcohol may have additive effects in lowering your blood pressure. You may experience headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, fainting, and/or changes in pulse or heart rate.
Atecard D 50 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy.There is positive evidence of human fetal risk, but the benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk, for example in life-threatening situations. Please consult your doctor.
Atecard D 50 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is probably unsafe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggest that the drug could represent a significant risk to the baby.
Atecard D 50 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy, sleepy, tired, or decrease alertness. If this happens, do not drive.
Atecard D 50 mg/12.5 mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Atecard D 50 mg/12.5 mg Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor.Regular monitoring of blood pressure is recommended and can help in better dose adjustment.

Atecard D 50 mg/12.5 mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Atenolol and chlorthalidone that help control your blood pressure. Atenolol is a beta blocker that lowers your heart rate. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from your body. This also reduces the risk of a heart attack or stroke.
